Pakistan gained freedom in 1947 and since then its energy, industrial and agricultural sectors have undergone massive development. The star achievement came in 1998 with its Atomic Tests, thus, demonstrating Pakistan's advancement in technology.

Like in other fields tremendous progress has been made in power generation, its transmission and distribution, the most vital elements for achieving industrial and agricultural growth and for better living of the people. Pakistan acquired advanced technology from the advanced nations at a heavy price by grooming its own resources and is now willing to share the wisdom gained with other developing Nations - especially in Middle East and the African continent. Pakistan is already a reliable exporter of technical and professional services almost round the globe with high concentration in Middle East. National Power Construction Corporation (NPCC) was established in 1974 by the Government of Pakistan with a special objective of executing Power Engineering Projects speedily and economically not only at home but also in other friendly countries.
